About Teen Council
Teen Council is a youth leadership, evidence based, peer education program. As a Teen Council member, young people focus on sex education, advocacy, and social justice. Teens educate peers and strengthen your community through classroom presentations on sexual health topics, community impact projects, and advocating for sexual and reproductive rights. Teen Council members empower, educate, and inspire other, including peers, families and communities. Teen Council groups are made up of a diverse group of 10-12th grade volunteers and led by a highly trained and passionate sexual health educator. Members come to the group with different beliefs and views. No one is expected to already know about sexual health. Teen Council is inclusive and welcoming and works actively to be anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-homophobic, and anti-transphobic.
